In a country where the alarming rate of violence against women and children continues to pose a grave threat to societal well-being, People Against Rapes in India (PARI) emerged as a beacon of hope. As a sister organization of the Das Charitable Foundation, which has been supporting marginalized communities since 2007, PARI has been at the forefront of addressing sexual violence since 2012. By providing direct support to survivors, advocating for systemic changes, and being an active participant in expert policy committees, PARI has steadily expanded its reach and impact. With the objective of amplifying this mission, PARI convened the First-Ever National Convention on the Prevention of Violence Against Women and Children on December 16, 2024. This date, synonymous with the tragic Nirbhaya case, was chosen to honor her memory and inspire collective action.
